Golf defeats NHTI in a dual meet in Vermont

This past weekend the golf team competed in a dual meet with NHTI. The match was held at the Montague CC in Randolph, VT. Both Captain Jared McAllister and co-captain, Taylor West, fired rounds of 87 to lead our team to another victory over NHTI. Co-captain Jon Herrman fired an 89 with Garrett Pembroke firing a round of 90 to complete the team score of a 353. The final member of the scoring team was Mike Gardner who shot a round of 95.

"The one main factor that contributed to our win was a consistent team effort. The 5 members, put forth their best effort with the 4 low scores used in our scoring system. We are very fortunate that our team members scores, usually are very consistent which allows us to eventually finish on or around the top. The members of the team also have a lot of heart and takes pride in every score they post." Said a pleased Coach Bushey after the matchup.

"One of the positive statements about our team is the fact that we play and practice as a team. All members push each other in practice and in tournaments, in order to put forth their best effort to compete in our tournaments. Both Coach Cotter and I can only ask that each member put forth their best effort and that we can be satisfied about whatever the final team score ends up at."

The Golf team is now preparing for the YSCC Qualifier this Sunday.
