Lady Bobcats Soccer plays tough, but comes up short.

Saturday marked the first matchup between the Bobcats and NHTI for the season. Throughout the game the Bobcats showed determination while dealing with injuries on many players. Although the Bobcats lost 8-0, the players were still ready to compete. Brianne Bisaccio played well defensively for the bobcats and stayed strong for the majority of the game. Elayna Grove played at the top of her game as a midfielder throughout the 90-minute-long match. Their contribution and hard work helped the Bobcats team keep a positive attitude for the future.

"One thing that contributed to win or lose? NHTI is a very skilled team. We were able to step up to the level of play for small bursts but could not maintain the level for the entirety of the game. We were able to regroup as a team afterwards and reflect on what went well and what did not go well. We went through multiple injuries and I had players step up and play in different positions than they were used to. I was especially proud of the eagerness from my girls to get on the field and work hard, despite the score." Coach Waterbury said during a post-game interview.

The team is looking forward to another matchup with NHTI this Saturday the 24th and are prepared for their game on Sunday against Hampshire.
