Lady Bobcats add Depth in Goal
PAUL SMITHS N.Y. – Ashley Finch, from Oswego, NY, is set to join the Paul Smith’s College Women’s Hockey Team on the ice for the 2020-21 season. Finch will be joining the PSC community as she studies Recreation Adventure Education and Leisure Management. Daughter of Brian and Stephanie Finch, Ashley spent her High School career at Oswego playing for Coach Mark Fierro.
“Ashley has been rock solid for us in goal her entire career” Fierro commented. “She’ll be missed, and we certainly look forward to seeing her continue her hockey at Paul Smith’s College.”
Paul Smith’s Head Coach Casey Gerrish had this to say about his new puck stopper, “Ashley is a perfect fit for Paul Smith’s College. In fact, I knew fate was on our side when, during Ashley’s initial visit, a moose ran by the window of the building in which we were meeting. It was a special experience I was happy to share with Ashley and her family, and one I’ll always cherish and remember. I’m excited to have Ashley on my team and in net this coming season.”
Finch herself expressed excitement about playing for the Bobcats, saying “I can’t wait to see what the future holds for college hockey.”
