Ackerman to Join Lady Bobcats Hockey
Anna Ackerman, of Pottstown, PA, is set to join the Lady Bobcats next season as she lends her skills to an already stacked recruiting class.
Ackerman, a Human Health and Biology major, is excited to continue her educational journey at PSC. “The Human Health & the Environment degree is incredibly unique and unlike any other program I’ve looked at in my collegiate search. Not only is the school a perfect fit academically, but athletically as well,” Ackerman adds.
The daughter of Ben and Kimberly Ackerman, Anna attended 21st Century Cyber Charter School and played hockey for the Hockey Training Institute in Ontario, Canada.
“Anna has been a dream to recruit, both on and off the ice,” Coach Gerrish stated. “Her passion for the school itself and dedication to the hockey program makes her an ideal team member. I can’t wait to have Anna join the Paul Smith’s College Women’s Hockey Team next season.”
Excited for her new home on the PSC campus, Ackerman went on to comment that “The school is one of the most beautiful places in the world and is home to a devoted, emerging hockey program. Lake a Placid is where the “Miracle on Ice” took place, and I get to practice and play at one of the most famous arenas in the world. I am so enthusiastic about this upcoming year and I can’t wait to see what happens!”
