Over twenty runners enjoy 28th annual Pumpkin McMuffin 5K Fun Run at Paul Smith's College
Plenty of fun, costumes, and awards ~ pumpkins, maple syrup, potatoes and pumpkin muffins abound at the 28th Pumpkin McMuffin 5K Fun Run.
Members of the cross country team, the nordic ski team and family members all took part in the 28th annual Pumpkin McMuffin 5K predict your time - costume race at Paul Smith's College. This event has become an annual tradition, which has become quite popular with the North Country running community. Given the concerns regarding the COVID pandemic, organizers did not advertise the fun run as a precaution to the potential spread of the virus among the campus community and beyond.
The event has also drawn attention to the challenges of epilepsy and the seizures associated with epilepsy. With the unfortunate death of two former runners who lived with seizures among the Paul Smith's College community, the Pumpkin McMuffin has continued to honor Nic Pendl and Joe St. Cyr's lives, which sadly were way too short-lived due to complications associated with their seizures.
