Bobcats End 2016 Recruiting Class Strong
Garrett Woodmansee and AJ Holmes round out a strong 2016 recruiting class
In their first recruiting class, Bobcat Basketball finish strong with the addition of Garrett Woodmansee (left) and AJ Holmes (right).
Garrett Woodmansee is a 6'5 transfer wing from Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida. In his freshman year, Woodmansee helped the Titans to a 27-4 record, conference championship, and a birth to the NJCAA Division 1 National Tournament. "I picked Paul Smith's because I felt like it was the perfect place for me to grow as a person and grow academically and athletically. I am looking forward to seeing what this team has in store and how much noise this young team can make," Woodmansee said on making his choice to attend PSC.
"Coach Jeremy Shulman is a great friend of mine dating all the way back to college. Having played a year under him, I knew Garrett would be prepared to step in and contribute to the program on and off the court. His versatility and shooting ability will fit in great with what we want to do here. We are excited to help continue his development on and off the court," Coach Boone said about Woodmansee.
AJ Holmes is 6'3 wing from Lanier High School in Atlanta, Georgia. In his senior year Holmes averaged 10ppg, 5rpg, and 4apg all while playing in the largest classification in Georgia. "I picked Paul Smith's because I felt very welcomed when I visited and it is a place I really want to be a part of. I am looking forward to bonding with my teammates and making some noise this season," Holmes said about deciding to attend PSC.
"AJ has great character and comes from a great family. Being a family friend, we already had a connection and I hope to continue to build that. His length and athleticism will be an asset to our team. He fits in with what we are trying to do on and off the court at PSC," Coach Boone said about Woodmansee.
