Women's Rugby comes up big with win over Union

The women's Rugby squad came up with a huge win this weekend. On Saturday the women's team defeated Union College 32-15. The halftime score was 17-15.  Averie Riel and Sophia Pratt scored 2 tries (10 points each), Maddison Lemoine scored 1 try (5 points).Caitlin De Bellis rounded out the scoring with 1 try and kicking one conversion (7 points).

This game was truly a team effort with everyone coming together to get the team's first win of the season.

In the pack Kayla King, Nicole Snow, Grace Seltzer, Skylar Murphy, Rebecca Raymond, and Chelsea Williams played very well, constantly winning scrums and rucks and controlling the ball and the pace of the game.         

Backs Alexis Best, Averie Riel, Maddison Lemoine, Katie McCarthy, and Sophia Pratt were consistently breaking through union's back line and advancing the ball down field.  

Women's Rugby next contest is this coming Saturday at Gabriel's field vs. Clarkson University.
